What affects the price of a repair, and what to ask before approving any work.

How pricing works

Repair pricing depends on the door, the failed component, and the parts required.

Ask about discounts when you call or request service, and we will tell you how they apply to your quote.

The door: its size, weight, material and how it is built.
The part that failed, and whether related parts are worn. For springs this includes the spring size, how many springs the door uses, and the cycle rating.
Hardware such as cables, rollers, hinges and tracks that need to be replaced to make the repair safe.
Access and conditions at the home, and whether the job is scheduled or urgent.

A technician cannot responsibly give a final price for these without seeing the door. That is why the first step is to have someone look at the door.

Ask for the quote in writing.
Ask what is included: parts, labor, tax, disposal of old parts, and any hardware.
For springs, ask whether the quote is for one spring or a pair.
Ask what warranty applies and who to contact if something goes wrong.
